How much can you really earn?

Skip the 'up to $20 CPM' ads. What $3.50 per 1,000 valid views actually pays on traffic you already have.

A lot of link shorteners promise the moon and pay pennies. We would rather be boring: one flat rate, applied to every valid view, with no country tiers and no hidden math.

If you already paste links in YouTube, Telegram, or a newsletter, this is the only arithmetic that matters. If you do not have traffic yet, stop here. A shortener will not invent readers.

This page is the calculator in words.

The rate

KooLink pays $3.50 per 1,000 valid views. Same number on desktop and mobile. Same number in Hong Kong, India, the US, or anywhere else.

Valid means a real person opened the short link. Bots, link previews and repeat hammers do not count.

The figure on your dashboard is an estimate. It becomes payable after you reach 10,000 unique views and apply from the Payouts tab, and after payouts go live. Until then the number is there so you can see the math. It is not a balance you can withdraw today.

See the live card and calculator on payout rates.

What that looks like in traffic

Valid viewsEstimated earnings
1,000$3.50
10,000$35
2,000 a day (~60,000 a month)about $210 a month
100,000 a month$350

A YouTube description that gets 200 real clicks a day is about $21 a month. A Telegram channel that sends 2,000 real clicks a day is about $210 a month. A dead bio link is $0.

The rate does not care how pretty the destination is. It cares whether people actually arrive.

Why we do not do country tiers

Most paying shorteners publish a table: US desktop is gold, a long tail of countries is almost nothing. Publishers then spend the month reverse-engineering where their clicks came from.

Flat is slower to brag about and easier to live with. You always know what a view is worth. We would rather keep the rate honest (and filter junk) than inflate a headline CPM and claw it back in the fine print.

If your audience is mostly one country, a tiered network might quote a higher number on paper. Read the valid-view rules before you believe it.

What does not pay

  • Googlebot, Discord unfurls, WhatsApp previews, Slack crawlers
  • Someone clicking the same link over and over from one network
  • Guest links (no account). Those still redirect. They do not earn.

If you need the traffic and not the money, a guest link is fine. If you want the estimate to move, create an account and shorten while signed in.

The 10,000-view gate

You apply for payouts after 10,000 unique valid views across your links. Below that, the application is dropped. The estimate keeps accruing the whole time.

Minimums, once you are approved and payouts are live:

  • PayPal: $5
  • Wise: $20
  • Payoneer or wire: $500

Referral commission is 10% of people you bring, for life. That is extra, not a substitute for your own views.

A useful way to think about it

Do not open a shortener and then go hunting for traffic. Take the links you already paste (YouTube, Telegram, a blog, an email) and swap them. Same audience. Now the clicks count.

If you do not have an audience yet, KooLink will not invent one. The links are free. The earnings wait.

Next: what counts as a valid view, or how publishers reach 10,000. If the math is enough, create an account and swap the links you already share.
